2-EURO ‘PROOF’ COIN WALLET POBLET MONASTERY 2026
Poblet Monastery is one of the largest and best-preserved Cistercian monasteries in Europe, located in the province of Tarragona. It was founded in the 12th century and became a royal burial place for the kings of Aragon. The monastery is famous for its Gothic architecture and peaceful surroundings. Its abbey church, cloister and the walls surrounding the complex reflect the historical, spiritual and artistic significance of this site, considered one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in Spain.
In 1991, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today, it is still inhabited by Cistercian monks and attracts visitors from all over the world.
