The European Football Championship 2024 or Euro 2024 was the seventeenth edition of the European men's national team tournament. Organized by UEFA, it was held in Germany from June 14 to July 14.
Germany was chosen to host the competition on September 27, 2018, after beating Turkey. This is the second time the country has hosted the championship, having previously organized the 1988 edition.
Spain were crowned champions for the fourth time after beating England 2-1 in the final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. The Spanish team thus became the team with the most titles won at the tournament.
Germany hosted UEFA EURO 2024 after being chosen to host the 17th UEFA European Championship at the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Nyon on 27 September 2018. Turkey was the only other country to bid to host UEFA EURO 2024. The Federal Republic of Germany hosted the 1988 edition, making this the first time Germany will host the UEFA European Championship since its reunification. The 2006 FIFA World Cup was also hosted in the country.
