In the series of coins of collection called "Treasures of the Spanish Museums" are reproduced emblematic pieces of the Museums of our country.
All the works reproduced in this III Series, are conserved in the National Museum of the Prado and in the Real Academy of Beautiful Arts of San Fernando.
In this series, and as a novelty, we find the first coin coined in color of the Royal House of the Currency, which reproduces, on the obverse, "La Primavera" by Arcimboldo and, on the reverse, the "Portrait of the Cardinal Borja "by Velázquez.

Italian painter, known especially for his Mannerist representations of the human face from flowers, fruits, plants, animals or objects; that is, he painted representations of these objects on the canvas, placed in such a way that the whole set had a recognizable resemblance to the subject portrayed.
