In 2010 the Spanish Royal Mint started a series of 2 Euro commemorative coins dedicated to the Spanish sites in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
This commemorative 2 euro coin differs from the normal 2 euro coin in the design of the obverse.
The 2020 coin issue is dedicated to the Mudejar Architecture in Aragon. The blister includes information of Mudejar Architecture in Aragon as well as some details of the San Salvador Tower in Teruel.

2 EURO PROOF WORLD HERITAGE 2020 MUDEJAR
Built in the 14th century, when the Muslim population was still living in the city, is considered to be the later tower of Teruel's Mudejar period.
The tower imitates the structure of the Almohad minaret with concentric square towers between which the stairs are located. The interior tower has three superimposed floors covered with a ribbed vault and a bell tower with pointed and semicircular arches. Its ornamentation is dominated by mixtilinear arches and green and white glazed ceramics.
Due to its uniqueness it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986.
