To mark the graduation of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias from the three Military Academies, the FNMT–RCM is issuing a 60-euro collector’s coin struck in sterling silver.
The obverse features the effigy of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias, Doña Leonor de Borbón y Ortiz, in the uniform of a Second Lieutenant at the General Academy of Air and Space.
The reverse features a colour depiction of the Pilatus PC-21 training aircraft in which the Princess of Asturias undertook her flight training.
This numbered issue, specially designed for collectors, is limited to 2,000 pieces and is presented in a commemorative case.

60-EURO COIN COINAGE 2026 PRINCESS LEONOR – GENERAL ACADEMY OF THE AIR AND SPACE
Following her time at the General Military Academy in Zaragoza and the Naval Military Academy in Marín, Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias has, in 2026, completed the third and final stage of her military training at the General Air and Space Academy in San Javier, Murcia.
The future Queen of Spain and Supreme Commander of our Armed Forces has received, as just another cadet, comprehensive training combining technical knowledge and personal development, fostering essential values and principles such as responsibility, camaraderie, discipline and loyalty, thereby reinforcing and guaranteeing her commitment to lifelong service to Spanish society.
The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Doña Leonor de Borbón y Ortiz in her Air and Space Force uniform. This detail echoes the 2025 issue, in which the Princess of Asturias wore the midshipman’s uniform in which she undertook part of her training in the Navy. Alongside the inscription and year of minting, there are also two propellers, which serve as decorative elements in a reference to the Air Force and the other side of the coin.
The reverse side features a depiction of the Pilatus PC-21 (E-27), the training aircraft on which Princess Leonor has undertaken her practical training as part of her military training as a second lieutenant in the AGA. Alongside the aeroplane is the now-characteristic quadruple latent image, which this year features an aeroplane, a propeller and the number 26 as distinguishing elements (alongside the crowned M). The mint mark, the inscription and the face value of 60 euro complete the design.
