Under the denomination 'Numismatic Jewels', in 2008 a new series of collector coins was created whose main motive is the reproduction of singular pieces of Hispanic numismatics.

The IX issue of the series "Numismatic Jewels" is dedicated to mintings of the House of Habsburg.

The complete collection includes the three gold and silver coins that make up this series, which reproduce a piece of eight Escudos of Philip IV (1632), one of four Escudos of Charles II (1687) and one of 8 Reales of Philip III (1611).

Numismatic Jewels IX (2019) House of Habsburg - Full Collection

Under the name 'Numismatic Jewellery', a new series of collector coins was launched in 2008, the main motif of which is the reproduction of singular pieces of Hispanic numismatics.

The 9th issue of the series "Numismatic Jewels" is dedicated to mintings by the House of Habsburg.

Description of the coins

100 Euro gold coin

On the obverse, in the centre of the coin and within a circle, the obverse of a piece of eight Escudos by Philip IV, minted in 1632, is reproduced. Outside the central circle, the data referring to this collector coin appear: on the left, the mint mark and, above it, in an ascending circular direction and in capital letters, the legend SPAIN 2019; below the mint mark, in a descending circular direction and in capital letters, the value of the piece, 100 EURO. A pearl milling surrounds all motifs and legends.

On the back of the coin, occupying the entire space of the coin, is reproduced the back of the piece of eight Escudos of Philip IV of 1632.

20 Euro gold coin

On the obverse, in the centre of the coin and within a circle, the obverse of a piece of four Escudos by Charles II, minted in 1687, is reproduced. Outside the central circle, the data referring to this collector coin appear: on the left, the mint mark and, above it, in an ascending circular direction and in capital letters, the legend SPAIN 2019; below the mint mark, in a descending circular direction and in capital letters, the value of the piece, 20 EURO. A pearl milling surrounds all motifs and legends.

On the back of the coin, occupying the entire space of the coin, is reproduced the back of the piece of four Escudos of Charles II of 1687.

10 Euro silver coin

On the obverse, in the centre of the coin and within a circle, the obverse of a piece of eight Reales by Philip III, minted in 1611, is reproduced. Outside the central circle, the data referring to this collector coin appear: on the left, the mint mark and, above it, in an ascending circular direction and in capital letters, the legend SPAIN 2019; below the mint mark, in a descending circular direction and in capital letters, the value of the piece, 10 EURO. A pearl milling surrounds all motifs and legends.

On the back of the coin, occupying the entire space of the coin, is reproduced the back of the piece of eight Reales of Philip III of 1611.
