The collection includes the three 2-euro commemorative coins dedicated this year to the Garajonay National Park, on the Canary Island of La Gomera, continuing the theme started in 2010 for 2-euro commemorative coins to commemorate properties and places included on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The second coin is dedicated to the V Centenary of Juan Sebastián de Elcano's Round the World Voyage, marking the arrival of the expedition to Spain, which is the main motif of several of the issues that the FNMT-RCM plans to mint in 2022. Finally, the third coin is dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the Erasmus Programme, an acronym of the official name in English, European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students (European Community Action Plan for the Mobility of University Students).
