30 Euro - Jacobean Holy Year
Jacobean Holy Years come round when July 25, the feast day of St. James the Apostle, falls on a Sunday.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, by way of an exception, Pope Francis has approved the prolongation of the Jacobean Holy Year of 2021 to December 31 2022.
The Way to Santiago is the collective term used to refer to the various mediaeval pilgrimage routes to the tomb of St. James the Elder, situated in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The Way boasts a rich architectural heritage of great historical importance, made up of constructions whose purpose is to meet the material and spiritual needs of the pilgrims: bridges, hostels, hospitals, churches and cathedrals.
In 1993, the Way to Santiago was awarded the status of World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
