To commemorate the 40th Anniversary the Royal Mint has minted a silver coin.
On the obverse there is a portrait of His Majesty King Philip VI on the left, wearing the insignia of Captain General.
On the reverse, occupying the central part, an image of the Spanish Constitution is reproduced; to the right, the mint mark. At the top of the coin, in a circular direction and in capital letters, the legend SPANISH CONSTITUTION and the dates 1978 and 2018, distributed around the image of one of the Lions sculpted by Ponciano Ponzano, who has been in the custody of the Palace of the Congress of Deputies since 1872.
